    In the heat of their struggle, the Haitian people must strengthen their own mass organizations by setting up organizations of self-determination, trusting only in their own forces, in the perspective of a government of the workers and the oppressed — the only kind that will be able to give a true and definitive solution to the crisis.

    That’s very true, but are the Haitian people sufficiently armed and organized against the gangs? The mere fact that the gangs have nearly taken control from the police and government tells me the answer is likely no.

      I hear you there, but based on my understanding the gang leader stated their goal is to revolutionize Haiti. So as long as that occurs with the public kept in mind, they have plenty of guns to make it happen.

        Somehow I feel like “gang leader” and “keeping the public in mind” don’t really go together.
