    If it was 1734 I’d be afraid that freezing the melted horse would make it gallop away again

      I looked it up quick, animal glues have a prehistoric origin so we’ll likely never know how it was invented. However, making it is remarkably simple. Things like the hide, tendons, bones, etc are boiled in water. Then those parts are strained out and you continue heating the mixture until it thickens before straining again and applying hot.

      My guess is that someone let their broth boil for too long
