This is why I only buy phones that still have the headphone jack (even if they are an endangered species)

        inb4 phones remove charging ports

Is it that difficult to get a phone with a headphone jack nowadays tho?

It depends. Ironically, cheaper phones are more likely to still have headphone jacks. Pretty much most entry level phones have headphone jacks, but they suck in literally every other way…

I bought my current phone for about 100 euros over a year ago, and it works just as well as my previous one which was much more expensive. Also has headphone jack.

I’d be ok with no 3.5mm, but Christ on a cracker give me two USBC ports then…I want to charge and listen to music.

I use a usbc audio charger splitter and my phone came with usbc earbuds that are indestructible.

because some dont get security and feature/bug updates. for that i recommendeed simply to install something like e/os as an operating system (OS). It sometimes still support 10+ year old phones and likely continue to support them for a while. The tech started to get so good that old phones are good enough so refurbishing them with another OS and not to trash them like profit focused companies want.

This is why I still cling to my trusty Samsung S10. Still has a headphone jack for my IEMs and a heart rate monitor.

my old pair would do this every minute for a full quarter of the battery life. you could turn it off, but you had to turn a bunch of other stuff off as well. why is this even a feature on headphones? maybe say it once at the 25% mark or when first turned on around that range. making content unlistenable by repeating it every 60 seconds is not an idea anyone should ever have had.

I have a Pixel 4a 5G mostly just because of the 3.5mm jack. I honestly don’t know what I’ll replace it with when it dies. I’m not exactly an audiophile, but I have too many headphones that I love. Ugh.

Are we the same person? I was buying a Pixel around a year ago and went for Pixel 5 5G specificly because the version 6 drops the audio jack (my car radio has a audio jack and I like streaming music directly to car speakers…)

I bought a handful of adapters because I like my wired headphones. Its a shame I have to do that though.

You can just use an adapter if you really need to. That’s what I do in my car, because my car doesn’t support Bluetooth, but has a 3,5mm jack.
