About 6 chapters in and wow, I have no idea what is going. I’ve heard people say it eventually all clicks but man is it a confusing ride to get there!

I agree, Tamsyn Muir really leaned into the weirdness, even more than in the first one. I had to force myself at one or two points to just roll with it, but yes, it does make for quite a satisfying twist/reveal in the end
I was confused until what felt like 80% of the way in. I think I need to read it again to figure out if I actually liked it or not.
I read Gideon and Harrow and I found them so incredibly frustrating because Muir just doesn’t give you anything. And for such a foreign universe, having everything so bizarre and foggy just didn’t work for me.
