I’m now past the end of my tether with anti-vaxxers/maskers. Sure, at one point when they first erupted like herpes it was fun to laugh at their idiocy, but now we’ve got them taking up…
They are eejits. Though pro vaxers can be eejits too. Vaccines are a difficult ethical topic. Nobody is 100% right, but anyone with an extreme black/white view is definitely wrong.
But it’s hard to find non polarised people on the internet.
its a personal choice to make if you want to get the vaccine or not, and you shouldnt form your opinions on the vaccine based on whats said on social media; read an article, or talk to smeone you know whos had the vaccine, i think people would get a clearer view that way.
i agree that communities should encourage, and lightly pressure people to get the vaccine, but like you said it shouldnt be mandatory to get the vaccine.
and most people want to get the vaccine anyway, because they know that the vaccine is the best proven way to protect themselves from Covid-19.
Unfortunately, they don’t know that. In my country, the vaccine had been freely available for 1 year and only 20% vaccinated before restrictions based on the COVID vaccination certificate were put in place. Thousands died in that time and more started to vaccinate only after they weren’t allowed in bars and malls anymore. If everyone vaccinated as soon as the vaccine was available, we wouldn’t have had these restrictions nowadays.
