So I realize many of you aren’t on reddit and use this instead, but wanted to share on here anyways. Tried navigating to reddit since updating to Android 12, and getting hit with this wonderful pop-up.
I’ll be moving, hopefully, to LineageOS, but I won’t be banming off having reddit on there either. Not a fan of their native app for behavior tracking reasons.
It’ll also show you a pop-up to direct you to r/popular or use the app after a while and will stop showing you posts from the subreddit you’re looking at.This is 100% them just trying to force people into using the app. If you enable the Desktop Mode in Firefox for mobile it won’t show you the pop-ups.Personally I’ve been using Slide for years and I’ve recently started using libreddit on PC.
EDIT: Ultimately I just want to stop having a reddit account but it’s really useful for technical issues.
