It’s a company town for the oligarch executives of the largest insurance corporation in Wholandia, the same insurance corporation who refused to cover his heart enlargement surgery on Christmas Day twenty years ago as they deemed it too expensive. The Grinch filed a lawsuit confident that he would win, but the execs also knew this, so their lawyers stalled him at every point of the legal process, bleeding him dry from legal fees until he was forced to withdraw the lawsuit. During this, he was forced to bankrupt himself and sell his house, which is why he now lives in a cave with barely any possessions.
