I prefer Lenin’s USSR over Stalin’s. Does this mean I’m a Trockijist?

      That’s not an explanation.

Lenin’s government tackled the formation of the Union, the treaties that formalized the SRs, and formed the identity of the Soviet Union. As well, his government began the process of industrialization, set about the centralization of the Soviet state, and handled a few other national projects.

Stalin’s government just continued those efforts. Lenin’s leadership was alright, but there’s a reason Ex-Soviets rallied in the streets of Moscow in 1992 with framed pictures of Stalin, after the Soviet government announced that the Union was dissolving, despite sweeping support from the citizenry to keep the Union. Plus, if you dislike Stalin’s government, then you must also dislike all of the revolutionary states that were influenced by his government. Like China, or Cuba. The USSR didn’t become the superpower we knew during Lenin’s lifetime, and though Lenin set the seeds, Stalin’s government is the one that harnessed the reigns and led the Union to become a dominant political force that not only survived the second world war, but many decades of western attacks.
