I’m kind of okay with this. Not thrilled with the privacy concerns, but there is currently no way in the US to certify that someone has taken the vaccine without bringing a cheap, easily destroyed, easily lost piece of paper. From what I understand, that was a pretty deliberate act of sabotage by some states that refused to do anything that could facilitate a “vaccine passport”, even by a third party.
