minus-squarestolid_agnosticlinkfedilinkarrow-up16·7 months agoThe irony here is that the USSR actually took in refugees that Europe and the US wouldn’t and otherwise allowed for a lot of immigration. If you were from Africa and you wanted to become a doctor before 2000 or so, you went to Russia.
