I think rather that Linux distros are going to be closer to Windows than the other way around, Q4OS is already a good example of this.
As much as Windows fails in privacy (although it can be remedied), in terms of handling, compatibility and security, it can teach Linux a lot, apart from having the largest FOSS catalog than any other.
