    Are there actually vegan cat diets that don’t harm the cat itself? I don’t have a cat so I’ve never looked into this, just curious.

    I mean, in theory it’s doable, right? Science already understands what chemicals a cat needs to survive, so there’s nothing stopping us from just synthesizing them or converting them from plant matter.

      that’s a little different from what i meant, but iirc yes, actually some benefits were observed on a vegan diet in some studies i think

      but you have to do some research before hand definitely, prolly ask your local vet 😉

        I’m trying to get my wife on board with that but she isn’t budging yet 😥 . Apparently its completely healthy and doable, taurine is the main thing they get from meat and has synthetics.

          Isn’t taurine one of the things they put in red bull? So presumably we are able to synthesize it at industrial scale already.
