What’s a totenkopf? Death head?
Yeah it’s the bone head, the Nazi symbole, they mention in the sketch from the image, “are we the baddie?”
Is it like a specific symbol or are skulls always a Nazi symbol?
It is specific. Look at the design on this ukrainian soldier : https://insomniacresurrectedcom.files.wordpress.com/2018/12/Dt6aCK5XQAEHw0V.jpg
It is the exact same design than on this image : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SS-Totenkopf.svg
If you look for “ukrainian soldiers wearing nazi symbole” you’ll find lots of articles pointing this out, between other symboles like the black sun.
The irony is so strong that they use the “are we the baddies” sketch when the sketch itself points this out … It’s mindblowing.
It’s a skull insignia beloved by Nazis and itself a reference to the SS.
Basically… it sure does seem to be difficult for Western media sources to get interviews with Ukrainian soldiers that don’t have some kind of Nazi patch on their clothes. Sonnenrad, Wolfsangel, Totenkopf. The ubiquitous vertical black-red (blood and soil) flag and other OUN-B (Bandyerite, Naxi collaborators, mass murderers, and fascists in their own right) symbols.
