This video examines Max Stirner’s egoism, focusing on ownness. I begin by explaining the role ownness plays in Stirner’s egoism; then I examine Stirner’s account of how individuals subjugate themselves by reifying abstractions; and finally, I present Stirner’s critique of freedom and show how freedom contrasts with ownness.
