Nukes are the reason North Korea wasn’t invaded a second time (that and their close ties with China, a country with nukes)

Except that part of Korea is still occupied and the US have continuously goaded the DPRK since the Korean war. Whereas in Europe, the Soviets more-or-less, and albeit (we now know) temporarily, disarmed the Nazis. The US is free to leave at any time and let the Koreans make peace between themselves.

Additionally, during the relevant period in Europe: there have been ‘two’ major internal wars, one of which is ongoing, plus a cold war; North Western Europe economically punished Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, and Ireland, leading to uncountable suffering; and the Europeans slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, to name just a few atrocities. If there’s an analogy, it’s not between Germany and France, it’s between the UK and any number of the places it’s remorselessly destroyed since WWII.
