Make no mistake, the EU, Canada, Australia, etc effectively support the embargo no matter how they vote. If they truly opposed it, and actually gave a shit about human rights, they would be trading with Cuba and providing a bypass from the US to the Western market. They were instantly chomping at the bit to trade with Taiwan when the PRC sanctioned it, remember? Same with Ukraine? So they’ve already shown that they can and will do that for countries that their enemies hate, just not for countries their friends hate.
