Yeah I’ve definitely never heard people describe their intrusive thoughts in this way. I’ve heard: “oh my god I keep thinking this really gross thing, is there something wrong with me??”
I have not heard: “I keep thinking about sleeping with teenage girls because I’m attracted to teenage girls, I better go and tweet about breeding teenage girls”
It’s bizarre the lengths predators go to justify their own immorality. He’s only defensive for getting called out for it, he probably doesn’t even find the concept distressing.
