Well to be serious for brief second, they say its more of a spectrum than black and white. Just some people are so far on one side of said spectrum they are for all purposes one or the other while others maybe straight or queer a majority of the time but there’s the odd movement. I think that’s really interesting tbh.
Someone in my family was married, has kids and went on his entire life to live as hetero, only to meet a guy at age 45 or something and fall in love with him. He said he never really thought about other men and still doesn’t, but this guy is the shit for him apparently. It’s not like he is hiding being in a gay relationship either, and everyone supports him, so no reason to lie.
So the spectrum bit might be true for a lot for people.
Right. I doubt anyone would say that they’re attracted to everyone with a particular gender; logically, they can’t be sure that they would never be attracted to any single one of the millions or billions of people with another gender, either, even if it hasn’t happened yet
Exactly, I just think it’s a much healthier way of viewing it as well. Like say you are very straight but your attraction wobbles, if you see it as black and white then you’ll make yourself feel sick with identity and confusion maybe. If you see it as a spectrum then it’s a wobble and you move on.
