No need to support Putin specifically (I think any support for him should be extremely critical). Russia’s current government as a whole is still acting as a force against imperialism (even if it’s just because they have no other choice)

My argument would be that regardless of Putin’s or even Russia’s motivations in this conflict, they are (firstly) a force for good in Ukraine and (secondly) effectively bringing about the multipolar world. From dialectically analyzing Russia’s current role in history, one would see that the smaller things matter less (but still a lot). Certainly, ceasing support (critical support, no less, where we reserve the right to criticize something while supporting it) for Russia based on this alone where they clearly have so much to contribute to the global struggle would be a grave mistake. TLDR we should advocate for LGBT rights within Russia, but not oppose Russia itself from this alone
