Oleksandr “Bear” Kravtsov with an Adolf Hitler tattoo on his arm, and the “Vedmedi SS” posing with their flag in 2021, which has the Nazi SS slogan, “My honor means loyalty.” Circled left to right: a swastika necklace, a totenkopf tattoo on Kravtsov’s left hand, a Nazi-style eagle on the back of his neck, and more Nazi tattoos on his torso (14, 88, Celtic Cross).

Only Wars appears to have grown out of the Azov Regiment in the Special Operations Forces that formed the basis of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. This Azov brigade in the Ukrainian army, more overtly neo-Nazi than its counterpart in the National Guard, has overlapping leadership with the political wing and “street branch” of the Azov movement.

A prime example is Dmytro Kukharchuk, a battalion commander and leader of the National Corps political party, who wears an Only Wars patch on his combat vest, and has developed close ties to a charity in Chicago.

1890: Bruno Emil Tesch, Axis chemist who co‐invented Zyklon B, arrived to worsen life with his existence.
1934: Adolf Schicklgruber received a signed document containing Hindenburg’s ‘last wish’, which was for the restoration of the Hohenzollern monarchy. Schicklgruber did not have the document published. Hermann Göring was injured in an accident outside Munich when the car he was driving collided with a truck on a narrow road. He sustained injuries to his back and cuts to his face and knees, but left the hospital the next day.
1936: Nationalist forces led by Juan Yagüe captured the walled city of Badajoz. Once inside, a savage repression known as the Massacre of Badajoz began, making headlines around the world. Meanwhile, Portugal accepted a French proposal for neutrality in the Spanish Civil War, an important step in the international nonintervention agreement France was seeking.

1943: Allied bombers flew a record distance, traveling 2,500 miles from Australia to carry out the first bombing raid on the island of Borneo, striking the Axis oil reserves at Balikpapan. Meanwhile, the Axis lost both the Battle of Roosevelt Ridge and the Battle of Belgorod. To make matters even worse for them, Rome was declared an open city by the Italian government a day after its twoth bombing, making the announcement in a radio broadcast by Stetani, the official news agency. Marshal Pietro Badoglio, the Italian Prime Minister confirmed the decision later in the day, offering to remove Rome’s defenses, under the supervision of the Allies, in exchange for no further bombing. Finally, the British submarine Saracen was damaged by depth charges from Italian corvettes off Bastia, Corsica and scuttled to prevent capture.
1944: The Osovets Offensive officially ended with the completion of Soviet objectives. Canadian and Polish troops began Operation Tractable, the final offensive of the Battle of Normandy. And? Every European country has Nazis. A small subset of isolationist hotheads with about as much collective power as windchime. To then say that is a great reason to invade another country becomes problematic.

    Nice astro-turfing, tho.

Nazism is the dominant ideology in Ukraine. The Kiev regime has made Nazi collaborators and holocaust perpetrators into official national heroes. They have entire regiments named after SS units and Nazi symbols and slogans are everywhere. They have their own Gestapo that abducts, tortures and murders dissidents. They have openly stated genocidal aims for the Donbass and Crimea. This is not a small subset, this is an entire country that has been Nazified through nationalist brainwashing that started at least as far back as 2004 and went into overdrive after the 2014 coup. They literally teach falsified history and Nazi propaganda myths to children in school.

And despite all that, this was not why Russia intervened. Russia intervened in the ongoing civil war that had been raging since 2014 because in addition to crossing Russia’s absolute red lines about NATO expansion into Ukraine, the Kiev junta had completely reneged on the Minsk agreements and was preparing in March 2022 to launch a full scale assault on the Donbass republics.

Nazis in Europe are people who have been isolated into their own pockets of society, in that they are shunned from society. Nobody wants anything to do with a nazi.

So most likely they’ll live somewhere remotely, where there’s a lot of white people and behave nicely so the neighbours will say “oh but they are so civil”, not really acknowledging that they are really just coping from having been ostracized by family and local community they had to flee from.

But hey, they deserve it, be because they are fucking Nazis and they - much like the communist parties of Europe - hold no sway whatsoever.

I.e they are not really a factor in anything but a statistical anomaly about habitation in villages - or as a part of Russian propaganda to justify the invasion of Ukraine. Simple as.

So fuck Nazis, fuck Russian government, and fuck you, some random guy on Lemmy.ml.

The Russian Federation reacted in response to creeping neoimperialism; Moscow played right into the Western bourgeoisie’s hands. The neoimperialists’ long‐term goal is to balkanize the Russian Federation.

Ah yes, putin wants to keep NATO from expanding so he…checks notes

Launches a full scale invasion of a soverign country, devastates cities and infrastructure, triggers massive support and involvement from NATO to include the US of motherfucking A, and directly causes two more countries to join NATO. Brilliant. 300 IQ play. Incredible. I could hardly hope to kiss the ground he walks on to hopefully get a taste of his boots, which must be spotless thanks to people like you.

Oh I almost forgot the 3 day special military operation that was actually a cover for bringing trench warfare back into vogue. Truly a visionary.

          “full scale invasion” - LIE

Russia launched a limited operation aimed at bringing the Kiev regime back to the negotiating table; it was Ukraine and its western backers who turned it into full scale war when they backed out of the negotiations in Istanbul thinking they could inflict a strategic defeat on Russia

          “sovereign country” - LIE

Ukraine lost its sovereignty in 2014 when the US orchestrated a coup that brought a puppet regime to power that proceeded to do the West’s bidding devastating Ukraine with neoliberal policies and launching a war on its own people

          “devastates cities and infrastructure”

tell the Ukronazis to stop hiding their military in cities - it is a war crime to use civilians as human shields; also… fuck around and find out! they bombed the Donbass republics for eight years…what goes around comes around

“triggers massive support and involvement from NATO”

NATO was already involved in Ukraine, pumping it full of weapons and training its army since 2015; all this is doing is depleting the arsenals of NATO

“two more countries to join NATO”

two militarily insignificant countries that were already co-operating on every level with NATO; they had abandoned their neutrality a long time ago; a poor consolation prize for the US for losing the proxy war they provoked in Ukraine

I can see that reading is not your strong suit, so here’s a clue:

The deal, agreed to by Ukraine, Russia and other European countries, was designed to grant some form of autonomy to the breakaway regions in exchange for reintegrating them into the Ukrainian state. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian government refused to implement the autonomy provision of the accords. Anatol Lieven, a researcher with the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, wrote in The Nation (11/15/21):

The main reason for this refusal, apart from a general commitment to retain centralized power in Kiev, has been the belief that permanent autonomy for the Donbas would prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and the European Union, as the region could use its constitutional position within Ukraine to block membership.

So then, how can NATO include Ukraine—further breaking its promise not to expand—when there are people’s republics within Ukraine preventing membership? And how easily can the Ukrainian government liquidate those republics when the Russian Federation is protecting them? Hmm?

Now, it would be easy for me to sink myself down to your level, but since this is an educational subcommunity I am going to try something different: did you know that Adolf Heusinger, a former Axis official, served as the Chairman of NATO’s Permanent Military Committee for 1,061 days? Because that is the exact same amount of time that you are going to spend banned here. Have a glass of lemonade and enjoy.
