To celebrate August 24 Vladimir Zelensky took to Instagram to upload a series of portraits of commanders born in post-Soviet Ukraine.

Unsurprisingly one serviceman’s image, alongside his full name and credentials, was pictured wearing a Nazi insignia of the 14th Waffen-SS Grenadier Division.

That unit of the SS recruited primarily Ukrainian collaborators, and has been accused of committing several massacres in Poland.

The people in government running these accounts know exactly what that patch is. They’ve done it more than once, and they’ve been criticised for it every time. There is no longer any deniability with this.

They have done this a dozen times now and they have been LOUDLY criticised for it every single time lmao. Stop being so deliberately and intentionally naive, it’s incredibly embarrassing when people pretend to be naive and ignorant because it suits them.
