Its polite to avoid using gendered language toward people you don’t know, especially toward someone who has their preferred pronouns/gender clearly visible. Our instance also has a large representation of trans people who are often further made uncomfortable by gendered language, especially when it does not align with their identified gender.
Well i taught my children growing up it wasn’t the language, it was the intention.
They used to say “ahhh crap you” for example, because “crap” was "acceptable ".
However, the intention was to say “fuck you” and therefore not cool and not allowed.
I’m saying this because the intention wasn’t there to offend, it’s just an old saying by an old dude.
There are so many instances (settings for me is “All, New” so i see a huge variety of interesting things.) I hadn’t even noticed there was flair.
so yeah…gotcha. thanks.
Phrases like “you must be fun at parties”, the excessive sarcastic ellipsis… and a repeated emphasis on minute details for the sole purpose of being hostile and condescending towards your fellow poster instead of responding positively or neutrally all remind me of why I left Reddit.

even if it’s ironic, stop using redditisms. it’s incredibly uncomfortable.
i have no idea what you mean…like, at all.
You write in a manner common to Redditors.

Ah. Yeah sorry…not even trying to be ironic, just reacting to a dialog that was what i considered “waaaay” over the top.
You seem to be very wound up tightly and probably need to take a break from the internet if you see patterns like that everywhere.
I appreciate the info though…again not being ironic or anything else but face value.
