Oh yeah, I’m not disagreeing. I’d much rather have a youngster express their love heavy-handedly than the one millionth song about sex and drugs.
I just wish for songs that are more interesting and less over-the-top than both of these. But yeah, I guess, that’s difficult with pop, where you basically only have those three topics…
Better than sexually abuse a woman while she is drunk at a club, and then harass her til she accepts to date you, like in most current pop songs.
