American MaturityTM is the realisation that government bad, aUtHoRiTaRiAnIsM, everyone is only ever out for themselves, there is no free lunch, and other assorted soundbites with no meaning.
Worse than other westerners, americans don’t mature into healthy, decent people. They become MatureTM americans.
Maybe they meant something like not getting your country get wrecked in world war 1/2. They see the countries in question as “defeated” and then a new beginning happened led by the US, UK for countries like Germany, France etc? Idk

I’m an American. Most people I come across haven’t matured since they were in high school.
