Banality of evil is when someone does something evil for a banal reason, like getting a promotion in an army. This is not banality of evil this guy is just evil. It just sounds banal now because racism is so mainstream that this type of overt evil is just an everyday occurrence.
And that’s the scary part. So many mainstream rightoids sound and talk like this, though they are more averse to open calls for violence and race war. But at this point, that’s an easy hole for a nutcase like this to fill.
