They just need to provide a physical switch (like short circuit two pins) to reset the binding. If they are not doing this then they are doing it for the lock-in.
Some of the video comments are saying you can cut a trace on the motherboard to tell the CPU to run anyway. I’m not sure if this is true though, and even if it is, you shouldn’t have to resort to it.
