Feeling guilty every time we can’t be perfect environmentalists isn’t sustainable. For a safer climate, we don't need to get every action right, but we do need to understand the greater scope of the crisis.
So, just so I completely understand the carbon tax: cheap, high carbon goods made in poor countries will be taxed at the point of sale in rich countries to subsidize production of expensive, comparatively low carbon goods made in those rich countries.
