    Canada’s not far behind the US in this regard, so not sure where this railway would lead to.

      We can’t expect Canada to take refugees lightly.

      People need someplace where they can feel safe enough to collect themselves so they can cross the border prepared and introduced to the proper receiving channels of the receiving country, be it Canada or elsewhere.

      There are places in the United States, though, that will remain somewhat safer for longer. Making it possible for people to clear out of the most dangerous areas to these halfway-havens is crucial to ensuring that they SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH to get their affairs in order for wherever they wish to end up.

        Seems that you missed my point that Canada is moving in the exact same direction the US is. The conservatives here are mirror of Trump, and they’re most likely to win a majority in the upcoming election.
