The narrative in the western media has been pretty consistent. 2014 coup was democracy in action and Zelensky is fighting to protect civilized European values against the barbaric hordes from the east.
Sure, there are always reasonable people around, but their voices are largely drowned out by the hysteria. Ultimately, the goal has to be to deescalate and to end the conflict. The invasion is wrong and unjustified, but demonizing Russia isn’t going to help end the invasion. The only way things get better is when the west and Russia find a way to have dialogue like adults.
