Speaking with regards to this, first of all, Ainu (Hokkaido) folks deserve to have the right to self-determination over their land. The Ainu folks aligned themselves with Russia (for which, they were genocided), why are they still part of Japan? Similarly, the Ryukyu (Okinawa) folks have been oppressed by the Japanese. Both these groups of islands have American base. I think I’m probably forgetting the name of the third group (Honichi? Kyushu? I don’t remember), which have again, been suppressed and forced to adopt the Japanese identity.

This sort of stuff highlights just how hollow the pretense that US cares about people’s freedoms and right to self determination in Taiwan is. US is literally occupying islands right next door with their military bases directly against the will of the people living there. The burger empire is one of the most deplorable regimes in the history of humanity.

Taiwan is again, an indigenous island, which is being occupied by anti-CPC Han mainlanders. It is laughable how these people have the boldness to call themselves Taiwanese, when in reality, it belonged to the Austronesian native people, who have had their culture forcibly suppressed, and now they’re in real danger of being erased.

The west will always be on the side of colonialism and subjugation of indigenous people. That’s the iron rule of western politics.
