This is exactly what I was hoping for! I’ve created a few subtext@‘s to try out the different servers and would love to be able to sync my subscriptions.
I think it’s also important to think about how this doesn’t account for the admin’s time (I know not the point of the question). Since yes donations aren’t necessary for the server, but I want to support the admins who are putting in the work to improve and move Lemmy forward. That’s why I donated at least.
I was honestly on the fence about just being a passive consumer and going to the Reddit app until I saw the derision and lying out of spez. Then I realized I could no longer support them with my ad revenue and I haven’t been back on Reddit since (except for muscle memory for the app and then I close it immediately).
I can’t wait to see how it actually shakes out. I’m worried about the number of people I’ve seen who just say screw it im not leaving Reddit and just give in to using the 1st party app.
At least post the sauce: https://github.com/kelseyhightower/nocode
Thanks for posting this… now all that’s left is for me to figure out what all of these options do
What OS are you using? If Linux, how’s the support for AMD graphics?
Thinking about a mini PC build and want to consider AMD vs Intel vs Nvidia (which I think is out) for a small Plex setup.
Agreed, this is such a neat idea
