Doesn’t an app such as this promote creation of more food-waste?
I know it’s attempting to reduce it… But… creating a market for more foodstuffs doesn’t seem good.

Although, we call computer errors “bugs” as well.
Perhaps we’d benefit from ceasing usage of the word for anything beyond insects.
