I don’t care how it was for you in the USSR. For me and my family in Romania it was the worst thing. It’s not much better now but at least we’re not afraid to speak against the state and we can quit our jobs.

If you don’t care about freedrom that’s your prerogative. I wanna be free.

It seems to me that it’s better to accept the fact that human organizations tend to form into hierarchies and to create clear rules about responsibilities of individuals in positions of power as well how these individuals should be recalled when they transgress.

I dunno, if that’s the case then I don’t wanna live in this world any more and I’ll just kill myself. I don’t agree with doing things this way and I never will. I guess I’m just not made for this society and the society can fuck off.

And to clarify, I’m all for taking the means of production, but only as long as it doesn’t turn authoritarian. And a state + hierarchies will always lead to that. Unless you aim for the same as I say, you aim to enslave me, just in a different system.

IT’s the same from the POV of the average person. They slave away their entire lives for no reason other than making some numbers go up. Whether it’s the company’s stock price or the state’s production and exports, it’s the same shit for the average joe.

And growing up in a place like that, I can tell you it was horrible. People being afraid of speaking against the state for fear of being sent to work camps, people never having the option to just quit their job…

How is that freedom? Honestly, it’s better in this system now because if you have some money you can take breaks sometimes. You couldn’t do that in my country under the old regime. If the old regime comes back i’ll just kill myself.

I don’t care. Making fun of people suffering is never ok. The people that do that are the same ones that are ok with sending people to gulags and concetration camps. A revolution done by people like that will not be communist, it will be like all the other “communist” states we had so far - authoritarian and state capitalist.

Nah man. Every time I talk on a lemmygrad post or see one of their posts I get bad vibes.

I once said that maybe it’s not nice to make fun of soldiers with PTSD and so many came to tell me how they deserve it because they’re scumbags and how they’re happy to see veterans suffer.

Tankies scare the fuck out of me. It makes me feel like there’s no escape from authoritarians, no matter what I do. I feel like I have to choose between a capitalist dystopia and “communist” authoritarianism.

Gig work is very anti worker and most deliveries are done gig style nowadays (like uber eats).

I stopped ordering altogether because I don’t want to support the gig economy and the quality of the service has gone down since all these gig apps started taking over.

When I don’t have food and I need something to eat I’ll just make a sandwich or a snack pot or something.

I do order pickup though and I try to support non-chain restaurants, but I do get mcdonalds and other stuff sometimes.

he likes seeing ads bc he wouldn’t know what to buy otherwise (enables him to participate more into consumerism)

WTF?! That is the most insane thing I’ve ever heard. People really worship things and buying stuff like it’s some duty? What is wrong with them?

I would say that they should come here just to wash off the brainwashing but I’m afraid that if too many come, they’ll infect us instead.
