I probably should figure out how to do that at some point. while doing it I was definitely feeling the “this could be automated but I’m not 100% sure how I’d do it” with how standardized the format I was putting them into was lol. honestly I’m way too inclined to do shit like that when I should really just sit and think about how to do the automation. I remember when I was younger, during the 30th, which is to say, XXX, Olympics, I made a Twitter account and went around searching for people making the obvious joke there and retweeting them. plenty of people seemed to think it was a bot (reasonable assumption) but it was literally just a bored kid doing it all by hand 😆

Reminds me of how I set up my laptop to show an MOTD that’s a “Quotation from Chairman Mao of the Day” at TTY login using fortune. I only ever had a small selection of the quotes though, because the only other Quotations from Chairman Mao fortune file I was able to find online had weird formatting, and I wanted it to be formatted like the entries in the stock fortune file that are quotes, so the ones I have in there were copied by hand from my paper Little Red Book 😆

Yeah. Some of the most honest analysis I’ve seen on the role the state sector plays in China’s economy has been stuff literally published by the Heritage Foundation. They’re not constrained by the liberal/socdem line of needing to prove that they’re “not real socialism”. These are right-wingers. They think socialism is bad. So they can present things exactly as they are, and say “and that’s awful!”

I’ve always been a fan of the arrangement of La Marcha del 26 de Julio in the Radio Havana Cuba interval signal. As well as the station ID message that plays over it.
