Same boat. I’ve been a Mac user for quite some time, but every few years I try to give Linux an honest go. It’s come so far in the years I’ve been checking it out, I could almost use it as a full time OS now.

That is, if I didn’t completely exhaust myself being a Linux user. Major problem for me is that I am a chronic distro hopper. Every time I get settled in and think this distro is “the one”, something breaks or doesn’t act the way I want it to. So I start all over again. I think it was a record for me hitting one month using Endeavour. I’m tired of it and I’ve have had enough of my obsession with trying to make it perfect.

I’ve basically retreated back into my Macs. Plus I really enjoy and heavily use their ecosystem and found it difficult to break out of. Especially having an iPhone. Since they introduced the enhanced security features earlier this year (encryption), it makes things even more attractive.

I’m sure in a few years time I’ll give it another go. Maybe then it will stick! It’s close enough. Feels like a big period of transition for Linux right now with Wayland, immutable systems, etc, so I don’t mind giving it some extra time to cook.
