Mastodon: @confusedbunny
Yes, my Mastodon username mentions bunnies, yet the bunny avatar is on this profile, and the Lemming which might indicate Lemmy (this is Kbin, but I am subbed to Lemmy communities) is over there. Don’t question.

Lemmy: @i_am_not_a_robot
A box has just turned up with My City: Roll & Write and Lost Cities (unintended city theme in this order), so I’ll be playing those!
Yes, sorry, I didn’t want to have to log into a different account to do moderation - federated moderating doesn’t appear to work across Lemmy/Kbin yet.
Tried twice, got stuck on the chess notation each time, even though I thought the move I was putting in was pretty good, it obviously wasn’t the best.
I can see that following a book might make sense. Maybe put a feature request in at https://github.com/bookwyrm-social/bookwyrm ?
You turn up and my 500 errors go away! I take it the federation breaking and the 500 errors are linked?
Following magazines doesn’t work currently, I think that’s a known bug (or not implemented feature).
It will only pick up hashtags from accounts that are being followed by accounts here (and in theory on other kbin instances, although I’m not convinced the magazine hashtags federate)
There seems to be issues following certain account, if it’s set as a bot kbin won’t even see it, and I suspect there are other causes of this too (maybe follower approval?)
Federation appears to have stopped again @jerry, but they do definitely escape - I can see all my posts up to yesterday from Mastodon.
Are you following your account here with your account on the other service? They won’t populate otherwise.
Mine was stable when you first posted this, but after maybe an hour I started getting 500s again. Currently if I try to look at subscriptions it throws that error, other areas seem ok at the moment.
No worries! This is new and I appreciate the time and effort you are spending on it.
I’m getting 500s on the homepage and on my /sub page. Federation seems to have stopped again too.
Thank you! It appears to be working now - I’ve just seen a load of new articles posted by non-Fedia users!
I think that was supposed to be a reply to @markrprior - but you can try @tedmusicbot
It just doesn’t show up in search. If I toggle the bot status off it can then be followed. note this works both ways - the bot cannot follow users or magazines here either. I did post an issue to the Kbin repo, if it turns out to be Fedia specific configuration I will close it.
NSFW tag from Lemmy doesn’t transfer across. Ernest said it’s the highest priority thing to fix, so hopefully we’ll get a fix here soon.
Notifications are running about a day behind. I’ve just had a load of my posts federated to Mastodon after two days. The server is overloaded, have patience.
It was a comment on a thread posted from Mastodon to test something. I deleted it and the thread afterwards, but it came through OK without me trying to force it. I’ve posted to a kbin.social group in the last hour and it doesn’t appear to have federated though (none of my posts from this account have reached Mastodon in the last 5 hours). I’m hoping this is just down to server load.
It was trailing behind by about a day, but, yes, no posts from non-fedia members is odd. Federation is working as I was playing with Mastodon and Fedia earlier and the posts were flowing.
The dev does plan to open source it I believe.
