Archspire and Cattle Decapitation. I listen to much less music than in my uni years so I stick to the favorites only.
I don’t think it’s different from other book communities, but I’d like to see more focus on non-fiction book.
Can you see your 3 reply duplicates? If so, can you please delete them?
If you haven’t played Sands of Inaros yet, buy the quest key and do it (and bring your best setup for scanning Kavats). If you have Inaros Prime, you can buy the Baro Void-Signal (one per visit) to access some special cosmetics.
Didn’t know about this. Thanks!
Congrats @sun-spider and good luck with modding. I appreciate the concise intention-action-justification-exception statement you provided. Nice!
Linda Elder, Richard Paul - Critical Thinking…
I knew before I started it it’s gonna be one of the most important books I will ever read in my life. After the first 12% it hasn’t disappointed a bit.
I read years ago the Organized Mind also by Daniel Levitin. It was too broad and became kind of meh after a while. It has many interesting ideas but you need to dig for them.
Now that’s an adventure!
Forgot to mention that I work in the IT field. Is the case for you also?
Now that’s what I call socializing! Big like!
Try non-fiction. I read 90% non-fiction and it is really life changing to me. Life changing to the degree I see myself reading and learning all my life (I’m 25 so there is plenty of time for that). I get better and better thanks to the books I’ve read and my own effort to understand them and contemplate the deeper connections.
🥈 take my free award. It’s yours
This reminds me of the good ol memes with “le me”:
You have a large pool of content to START with. Then you can filter the junk. This how you harvest the crops - everything at once then cherry pick, and this is how you prepare a lemonade - get a whole lemon and, queeze the juice out and the skin remains.
I don’t think the hierarchy you described is human nature but the effect of the state of affairs on Reddit. Think of Lemmy as a more chaotic version of Reddit where the status quo has not yet developed. Speak up your mind and help building the Lemmy status quo.
It appears new line doesn’t actually apply new line to my text… Just like on Reddit!
Not sure. I haven’t decided why I even use social media. I am a heavy data consumer, but I aspire to be content creator one day as I’ve dipped my toes… and ankles in topics difficult to digest. But I am uncomfortable with how I structure my ideas and how I communicate them. This is way I don’t really share my ideas online, both because of rigid and restrictive community rules and because of how people might react. At the same time, I am aware not all ideas I have are worthy for sharing. Perhaps lowering the friction in my communication with the network, coupled with my increased curiosity about what the network has to offer, could be the recipe for my new cake day.
I had the same thoughts when I started this community. I only wanted to post some Cattle Decapitation but surprise, there was no community. So I started it 🤷♂️
