Thanks for answering. Oh those are great too! I have a small Schminke (8 pan) and I like the richness of the deep blue and green.

That’s a great suggestion, thanks.
Painting outdoors is such a treat and that view is mesmerizing.
Cool pallette! Is it a Daniel Smith pan set? I’ve had my eye on one of those for a while, how do you like it?
Lime juice on pizza.
Asmr bakery is my absolute favorite!
This is a big one for me too. Knowing stuff will work or get replaced easily did wonders for my mental health. It is still a process to not live with the “check engine light on” mentality but rather trying to soothe oneself by breathing and knowing that, for this ocassion, it can be handled… and still filling up my car’s tank with gas in case I get lost in the City.
Currently reading fiction:“The vanished man” by Jeffery Deaver.
Currently reading non fiction: “Homecoming” by John Bradshaw.
I am going to try and read 52 books this year. Let’s see how it goes.
How to cook. Even if it is only a pair of eggs or a simple sandwich.
This superpower still eludes me most of the time but I keep practising.
Knowing when to leave a conversation, a room, a party, a relationship, etc.
Batfink was a favorite of mine too! First time I’ve seen it mentioned out in the wild.
Spot on about the gentrification bit. Entire town populations have shifted from local people to the self called expats and snowbirds. Just look at Chelém, Mérida, San Miguel de Allende, Tulúm, Cancún and many many more including most upitty neighborhoods in México City (Condesa, Roma, San Angel).
Eggs, cheese (mostly cottage), beans, greek yogurt (store bought or homemade), tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, sardines and whatever veggies and fruits are on sale. Same for meat, poultry or fish except the inside organs. For carbs I use corn tortillas and quinoa sparingly because I have to watch glycemic index. For snacks I like popcorn, hummus, pita chips. These are also limited.
If it is not too disturbing for you, I’d love to hear some of those stories. I think oral traditions such as story telling are some of the most interesting traits/ customs families pass along. My own family has some stuff they liked sharing too, some disturbing, some creepy, some plain stupid but part of the lore nonetheless.
I shared this before here, but it completely changed the way I live my life:
Perfect is the enemy of good enough.
So please, give yourself grace and understanding especially if you are a perfectionist. Go at your own pace.
This was my experience too. Now I can’t stand the smell of cigarrettes at all.
Mean girls.
Alv en dónde?!
I like reading this poem whenever I’m feeling like I’m about to lose it. It helps me find my center again:
Just Let them.
If they want to choose something or someone over you, let them.
If they want to go weeks without talking to you, let them.
If they are okay with never seeing you, let them.
If they are okay with always putting themselves first, let them.
If they are showing you who they are and not what you perceived them to be, let them.
If they want to follow the crowd, let them.
If they want to judge or misunderstand you, let them.
If they act like they can live without you, let them.
If they want to walk out of your life and leave, hold the door open, and let them.
Let them lose you. You were never theirs, because you were always your own. So let them.

I’m in this picture and I don’t like it.
