I dunno, every damn says admin job listing I’m seeing these days is asking for windows admins. For sure Google made a dent but how many of those Google shops are also using windows devices to access Google docs and still use Active Directory? They have their fingers in so many pies in the business world I think they honestly couldn’t care less about home users.

I’m not sure they should be… most of Microsoft’s income comes from business. O365 and oem keys on all the laptops sold to companies heavily outweigh gamers home systems.

Well this seemed like potentially a very convenient fix to a problem I was having but turns out the game I’m trying to play can’t be forced into using the gpu for some reason…. Cool utility though, shame it’s really needed at the same time!

Ultimately if someone who wrote a paper wanted to distribute it they could do so using existing sites like pastebin or GitHub. The concern with running one myself would be “how do I know this doesn’t contain child abuse images or something”.

How is this a thing? How has nobody just started hosting their own papers? What does it need except a fairly basic website and some storage for the papers themselves? Forgive the ignorance, I’m an IT guy not a scientist…

Assuming the scale is the same or similar to the GBA SP back in the day, this looks horrendously un-ergogenomic…even as a kid the location of the buttons was sometimes awkward to hold for longer sessions, also the lower down place of those thumb sticks would make it 10 times worse!

The safety car / red flag timings have been atrocious for years at this point. It’s like the control team aren’t actually watching the main stream and are only using shitty cctv around the circuit or something.

Immediately after seeing the mirror in the middle of the main straight which is the main overtaking part of this track I called out they need a safety car for a marshal to get on and retrieve it… but they didn’t. Then bottas hit it and spread debris everywhere, they still didn’t safety car to sweep it all up. Then Hamilton and sainz got a puncture and it will took them like 2 mins to deploy the SC….

I feel like maybe f1 could benefit from some sort of “code 60” like zone that NLS and N24 have. A mandatory pit limit area of the track, allows the race to continue for a few mins while a marshal is on track, but keeps them safe still. That way you don’t have a full neutralisation like a full SC, but it’s much safer than a VSC for a person to climb over the barriers to retrieve debris.

Yeah completely right about is what you make of it. For me it was space euro truck simulator. Ofc I then ended up doing smuggling. I then ended up with a bounty on my head for attacking an npc that was collecting slaves from a ship wreck, basically my smuggling competition. Turns out an escape pod floating in space is automatically labelled as a slave by the game, and the npc was trying to rescue a stranded shipwreck survivor. I essentially attacked the Red Cross of space and ended up getting my ass handed to me by bounty hunters… Fun times!

Oh awesome, I’ve been using the webcord version as the others were all shit for screen sharing. Having said that even webcord also has weird sound issue sim hoping are fixed with this.
