Do note that 3rd party clients are against Discord’s ToS and people have been banned for it.

Toshiba’s been fine for me and usually have the best price/GB where I live. Been using a BTRFS RAID 1 of 3TBs for years in my PC and more recently bought a 4TB NAS line one to get started on my NAS.

I also have that error regularly in Jerboa, often being stuck on a black screen afterwards.
As others said, it’s just the server being overloaded, though the timeout in Jerboa feels very short.
Anecdotally, webclient seems to have a much longer wait until it times out or maybe better handling of timeouts.

Youtube recommended that video today and since then I’ve binged a few more videos of his. Can definitely recommend that channel for interesting content on a variety of software and hardware.

I’ve found this repo comparing some different instances. No idea how accurate it is though.
