43 male, have 3 kids. They’re a ton of work but they’re also incredibly rewarding. The house is full of love and joy constantly. I can’t imagine life without them (and my wife) and I wouldn’t want to live in it if they were no longer here. That’s how much of an impact they have on you.

That’s said, totally respect you not wanting them. They’re one of the biggest sacrifices and commitments.

I have because Safari is just better UI wise on iPhone and syncs to macOS’s Safari. I really don’t like any other browser on iOS.

Beta 1 definitely doesn’t represent the final UI product. If you compare it to the WWDC Liquid Glass video, they’ve got tweaking to do. However with that said, LG is so much better in person and in use than pictures and video portray.

It’s exactly the opposite on iPhone. Most of the chrome is now extremely minimized. He’s just removed about macOS.

There’s typically 2 reasons for this:

1. Many managers are shit
2. They have zero idea what their managers actually do mainly because their manager doesn’t show them. It’s not hard to get buy in when you’re being transparent.

I agree with most of this except for the manager piece. Most of my managing is over Teams or the phone. Doesn’t matter where I am.

But of course, I’m just a worthless manager taking up resources so take what I say with a grain of salt.

It’s not embarrassing, it’s a beta. This will 100% get better over the months. It always does.

I don’t think I’m the exception. Most of the hiring managers I know feel the same way irregardless of the industry they’re in.

Rote memorization has definitely helped destroy the education of many generations. Definitely agree.

They most definitely are understood. The basics of what they’re doing doesn’t change. Garbage in, garbage out.

The sad thing is that leads to graduates that don’t understand why they aren’t getting hired. I give zero shits about a candidates GPA. All that tells me is that they can take tests well.It doesn’t tell me anything about their work ethic, reliability, critical thinking, how they handle customers/peers.

You aren’t wrong by in this case, nothing needs to be proven by a 3rd party since anyone recently in programming knows how LLMs works. It’s factual.
