I’m with you, I’m at the point where I go to use markdown in emails and loathe having to click around to format things nicely.

@freebrick it’s using the same underlying ActivityPub protocol which is what allows for federation.

Edit: which is how Lemmy/Kbin and Mastodon can talk to each other as well.

@ChargingDoorman sorry my comment was with a heavy dose of /s. Given they valued the Apollo traffic at ~20MM my tongue in cheek was saying to keep using the 3rd party apps cos it’s “costing” them so much money.

Hey thanks! Shame that there’s harassment going on, but at least federation makes it easier for them to control for that if they so wish!
