My cat is sitting on my lap so you get both of ours combined together
I dug out my old EEE PC last week for a project only to discover the screen had shattered
This plus I use the platters as coasters around my house
Previously I have had good luck on r/homelabsales but it seems that there is not something similar on Lemmy yet. eBay has worked too but takes much more effort to find a trustworthy seller.
Lenovo and Dell have outlet stores online but the savings are not as high as a couple year old device would have but at least you have a manufacturer warranty.
I know someone who purchased several refurbished units for his start-up from Amazon and worked out well, I would just make sure to check return policy before trying Amazon.
I find buying a used higher quality laptop better than going to a new cheap one when shopping for family and friends. Often they can be found for cheaper than new cheap laptops and have far superior specs and build quality.
I get the desire for a centralized location but I was hoping Lemmy would be the spot. Forums just seen so fragmented, it’s nice to go to one place to see all the discussion instead of having several subpages which honestly have little action. https://lemmy.ml/c/jellyfin seemed like the best replacement for r/Jellyfin
I’m still hopeful the Quentin Tarantino Trek happens, mostly for his directing/writing but I guess it relates to the question since he usually acts in a some part in his films. What happened with this anyway?
I’m happy about the screen being flat, can’t wait to replace my 6 Pro.
Mine showed up on my first check last night, it installed without issue
Wow, Verizon isn’t holding it back this time.
I run my Jellyfin on an HP sff PC and keep all my files are my big NAS. This lets me take advantage of Intel’s Quicksync for my transcoding which seems to be the easiest and best way to transcode. Also much more power efficient than running a standalone GPU.
Pixel 6 Pro, I really dislike this phone. Constant signal issues and it runs so hot all the time. I miss my Pixel 2 xl and really hope Google gets their shit together for the 8 Pro.
Hadn’t heard of this before so just watched the trailer, this is going on the watch list immediately, thanks!
