India is looking to bar most private cryptocurrencies when it introduces a new bill to regulate virtual currencies in the winter session of Parliament, the government said late on Tuesday.

    I know that there are some legit complaints against crypto like it’s use of energy and it causing product shortages.

    But crypto has also solved a lot of problems and ultimately given people freedom with their money.

    I can transfer money internationally much quicker and with far fewer fees than if I were to use the banks to accomplish the same transfer.

    Another thing is that to make a payment I initiate it and only I can send it. So as long as I keep my private key safe I don’t have to worry about fraud the way I do with my credit card since I’m not actively putting that number out on the web.

    Thirdly, I had an issue with my bank now allowing me to make a purchase online from a legit grocery chain. After 3 calls they just said, well I guess you can’t use your card there. If a merchant accepts crypto there is no third party to tell me that I can’t complete a transaction.
