I don’t think the US is going to let Israel to a ground invasion of Lebanon. They are spooked by the reaction to the genocide in Gaza and itching for an opportunity to “reign Israel in”.
I totally disagree with this analysis. Time will tell which of us is right.
Yea on the other hand, I feel like throwing Hezbollah onto the same side as Palestine against Israel will make for a great divide and conquer amongst the more liberal Palestine supporters in the US
I think that the US is going to really really want Israel to not do a ground invasion of Lebanon but also that the time of the US “letting” and “not letting” its proxies do things is a distant memory.
