I’ve been using it for a couple months now on a NixOS setup, I had issues before I split my media collection so shows and movies are in different collections. Now that I’ve done that, I haven’t had any noteworthy bugs. There are some missing features on certain platforms, namely the current roku app doesn’t support multi audio movies and shows and will only use the primary audio track. Hopefully that’s resolved with this update.

You can select different audio tracks in the current client.

For movies, go to the movie detail screen and select the option button. You can then select a different audio track.

For TV shows, go to the season screen (the page that lists all the episodes in a season) and with the episode you want to watch highlighted press the * button. You can then select a different audio track.

It’s not part of tomorrow’s release, but here’s a sneak preview of adding audio track selection to the new OSD: https://social.linux.pizza/@tgpo/111444825683217137

I used Emby way back in the day since it was still “Media Browser” (where the Em and the B came from). I switched to Plex at some point when Emby started enshittifying. Now Plex is more enshittified than Emby ever was.

Two weeks ago I made the switch to Jellyfin. Compared to the first time I set up Plex, it was so easy. Install and done. Like you, I had to rearrange some folders to make sure Jellyfin recognized my TV show seasons correctly, but it was pretty easy to fix.
