    My favorite thing is people in disbelief that you can speak another language without having an accent.

        As if your understanding of the English language has any merit of your nationality.

        For example, in our English class we just covered the difference between “its” and “it’s”. We are also juniors and seniors. Half of us will become adults. We aren’t displaced in the slums. We live practically in the suburbs. In a college town. The largest college in our state. We are Americans. :)

        Actually, I take it back. Your understanding of the English DOES have merit on your nationality. I’m convinced the MORE you understand it, the LESS you’re likely to be part of the Anglosphere.

      I actually have this, I’m a non-native speaker with little to no hint of an accent for someone from my part of the world, and online in voice chat nobody ever believes I’m from where I’m from.
