    I work at a hospital, and I had to sit through many meetings where IBM was trying to peddle us a blockchain solution for storing patient records. They were basically trying to sell us the most inefficient database known to man.

      Also, never being able to remove medical data, even after the patient’s death, seems more like a liability than a benefit. It also wouldn’t work in countries where the patient has the legal right to request data deletions (EU for example).

        Yeah, it’s just a dumb idea all around. I got so fed up with the bs that I ended up printing this paper and bringing it one of the meetings. Things got pretty awkward after that.
