That’s mostly people shooting themselves, wife/girlfriend, and kids.
The solution is the same in all cases though: get rid of the guns.
I’d argue that addressing material conditions is the solution thus decreasing the amount of people who want to commit suicide by any method, as a bonus this also reduces the number of people who want to commit mass murder.
Do that too…but it’s the easy access to guns that is the big difference between the US and other countries when it comes to shootings: they make it really easy for transient suicidal ideation to become reality.
