Republicans have said it’s because of the Biden administration’s weak immigration policies.

The government has said it’s a symptom of the unprecedented displacement of people worldwide. Biden has pursued a two-fold immigration policy: punishing undocumented border crossings and expanding legal avenues to apply to get into the U.S.

Migrants say the long wait for appointments to request asylum tempts them to cross the U.S. border without papers.

They’re already putting razor wire and saw blades in the water!

By 2030 the border is gonna look like the Israeli occupation. That’s where all this technology is being developed and tested, after all.

“They” didn’t do that. Texas Governor Greg Abott put that into effect, defying the federal government in doing so. It was only afterwards that the courts agreed that it was okay. Without Governor Hot Wheels, it’d have never happened.

“They”, the US government, did that. The governor came up with this horrific innovation and then the courts upheld it. And meanwhile the rest of the government just let him do it. They, the ruling class, are all either active participants or complicit.

“let”. This isn’t a dictatorship, no matter how much people want it to be one. There are rules as to what the federal government is allowed to do when it comes to states self governing.

Now, I’m with you. I think the states should have less autonomy.

A lot of the “rules” are just norms that complicit politicians don’t want to violate. There are tools that don’t get used because they would destabilize the entire system, so instead they let themselves be bound by unofficial and unwritten rules to let the country can function.

Do you really believe they’re doing everything they can?
